Two weeks old! Some puppies have their eyes completely open, others are just starting to peer out. It is really hard to get a good picture of eyes (or the puppies at all, really! at this stage). The best photos are when they are slipping because it means they are not a blurry wiggle!

The puppies are all close to or just over 3 pounds. Today I added the little dog bed to the whelping box. In another day or two they are going to leave this whelping area and move to the other puppy room where house training begin -yes, already! It won’t be long before they are ready to go outside very briefly each day for a few minutes of exploring and being introduced to the great outdoors in a gradual and incremental manner.
