Rousey is a tiny, mighty little clownish cartoon of a dog. Rousey and her sister Birdie were our keeper puppies from Avi’s final litter- we wanted to double the odds that we would be able to carry on with Avi’s genetics and luckily, both puppies turned out very well, though they look and act quite differently.

Rousey is what you would expect from a typical Eromit dog. She is fun loving, energetic, playful, super smart and athletic. She has a total sense of humor, which probably explains why she is such good friends with Leroy the beagle! Where she really shines is her natural engagement. Rousey is a real people person and if she has her choice, she’d rather be playing games with people than almost anything else. She can be pushy and persistent which allows her to work through challenging tasks- like her namesake Ronda Rousey, she is in it to win it. To date, Rousey has been training in dock diving (where she has shown exceptional skill in the speed games) dog sledding, and performance tricks. Perhaps Rousey will star in a future Superdogs show! Rousey has some light starting in agility training and shows great potential there too.

We expect Rousey’s first litter to be born in early 2024.
